Why Choose YourTrip?

YourTrip Small Group Tours are small enough that you’ll be able to get to know your fellow travellers as you travel around Canada. We know that there are many options available for your next holiday with many tour companies providing a range of touring options each with their pro’s and con’s. We think that we have a pretty amazing tour, and here a a few reasons why we think this.

Small Group Tours

All our tours are small enough that you’ll be able to get to know your fellow travelers well with a maximum of 18 guests on any of our tours. Our small group size also means that we don’t overcrowd a place we visit such as a small town, attraction or event. This allows you to appreciate places for what they are, and not just for the masses of tourists.

Unique Itinerary

Although we visit all the must see places on the general tourist routes, we also branch away from the beaten track and explore some smaller towns and regions where the larger operators tend to bypass. This allows you to get a different perspective of the country you’re visiting and get up close and personal with local operators and attractions. It also gives you a more unique story to tell when you get home, visiting places that others may not have already been.

The Local Perspective

We make a big deal about the local perspectives we provide on our tours and consider the best way to do this is by having local people share their communities with you. What that means in practice is that in each town or city we visit we engage local tour operators, guides, attractions and restaurants to provide you with an authentic taste of the local area. You still have the ongoing assistance of your tour director throughout the tour however each time we do an activity its supported by a local from that area.

Supporting Local Economies

By using local operators we support the local economy in each place we visit. We don’t just drive our bus into town, get off the bus, take a few photos and use our own guide to tell you the story – we hire local operators to provide this local perspective. This ensures that the local communities we visit benefit from our presence. This means that our trips might look like they are more expensive than others, but the value you get out of these local encounters is priceless. We also think its only fair that we give back to the communities that give us so much in return.

It’s YourTrip

Although we do travel as a group, we really want to make sure that a YourTrip tour is all about you. We give a good mix of included activities and time for you to explore on your own. We provide suggestions of what you can do in each town on our webpage and your tour director will be able to give you plenty of suggestions. We also like get to know you before you travel to help you get the best out of your experience.

Connecting you with Home

We have an optional addition to our tours that allows us to keep your friends and family updated on your travels – no need to write emails, we do it for you via our social media. If you opt in we will tag you in regular posts during each tour which will include photos and a short description of whats been happening that day. We share this on our Facebook wall allowing your friends and family to keep up to date with your movements. This is free on every trip, and all you need to do is ask us and we will include you.
